I find my therapist is trying to get me to name my emotions instead of feeding that interpretation to me so I can learn and become more comfortable with feeling instead of intellectualizing. There is a consequence of feeling I’m answering incorrectly at questions or don’t have the right interpretation of a situation but its something I have to work out with her. She can alter her approach. I don’t find its judgmental in labeling thoughts versus feelings. We’ve built enough trust where I know what (or have a good idea) of what she’s trying to say.
