First, thank you for supporting your queer child in their journey. It means a world of difference to have a parent’s support. Second, this is a hard-learned lesson that a queer relationship can be just as manipulative and devastating. All her relationships have that potential, whether she’s with a girl or boy, but I think considering her having a partner of any kind should throw up all the same alarms. Noor’s mom might be ending things for different reasons, but the main point is a relationship between kids this young, that we know now looked very grown up, should be quelled.
